We are not an over the counter fishmonger, we don't buy fish until we have your order.
Mary & I appreciate good food and care how it is caught but also how we take care of it after it is caught, right up to the moment that you cook it.

Not so much a business, as an association of Seafood connoisseurs.
We are told daily of the problems concerning the amount of fish left in the Oceans. There are many organisations who inform us which fish to eat and which to leave, but all this information can be confusing and sometimes conflicting.
We buy direct from the fishermen from Dartmouth in Devon; Christchurch in Dorset,St.Martin in Cornwall and Whitehills in Fife.
Most of these boats are operated by families of fishermen who have been catching at sea for most of their lives, they know the waters they fish, they know the types of fish to catch and more importantly when to catch them. This direct relationship means that the Fishermen can set the price to sell at rather than being told by the markets.
On your invoice wherever possible we will include the name of the boat that caught your fish and from which part of the Country.
We do not buy Seafood from other countries, as we cannot assure you totally honestly of the catch method, these include Tuna and Swordfish.We also do not buy UK fish that are still considered to be over fished like Skate, Ray and Dogfish.
We have also included the MCS guide to sustainable fish on most of our pages, 
which rates the seafood from One ( Healthy ) to Five ( Under threat ).
We hope this gives you the chance to make an informed choice about you seafood.
In today's world of convenience, buying food out of season and 24hrs a day is commonplace. Perhaps now with the last of our wild caught food under threat, it is time to re-think those ideas.
